The World’s dependence on fossil fuels is evermore in highlight. Oil prices have reached high-price records hitting the $90 mark during this week and developed countries are screaming for alternative fuel sources to be developed (at least those who do not profit from oil). Can primitive organisms be the solution?

So much science is being written around the blogiverse. So much science that should be more spread, shared and understood. With this as motivation, here at the Science in Review blog, I decided to start a Group Writing Project that calls out to all scientists or bloggers interested in science to write about science in a way that is understandable by all, and focus on a proposed theme. This edition’s theme: BACTERIA.
